Laura Crapo is an actor and multidisciplinary artist whose performance work has developed alongside her career as a filmmaker, writer, musician, and visual artist (NSCAD BFA, SAIC MFA)
Working both under her own name and previously as Laura Borealis, she has appeared on screen in independent film and music-based projects, often within work that blurs the boundaries between fiction, autobiography, documentary, and performance.
Her approach to acting is intuitive and naturalistic, favouring presence, emotional truth, and the subtle behaviour of real life over conventional performance. Her experience as a director and editor also informs her work in front of the camera, giving her a strong understanding of framing, rhythm, continuity, and how a performance ultimately lives within a finished film.
She continues to act in her own films while remaining open to roles in independent features, television, and director-driven projects.
Reel includes excerpts from All She Wants 2, Performance Art, Music Performance in NYC, etc
